Terms of Service

These terms are a binding agreement between you and ScrollConnect. By creating an account or using scrollconnect.com, you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.

ScrollConnect is built for college students, clubs, and campus communities. You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information — your real name, a phone number you control, and truthful academic details. One account per person; you are responsible for everything that happens under your login.

• Login is secured by OTP verification or Google sign-in; keep access to your phone and email safe.
• Don’t share your session or let others act as you.
• Notify us immediately at hello@scrollconnect.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We may suspend accounts that provide false identity or academic information.

• A registration is confirmed only when its requirements are met — including successful payment for paid tickets and organizer approval where the event requires it.
• Unpaid or abandoned checkouts do not hold a seat and are automatically discarded.
• Your ticket QR code is personal. Presenting someone else’s ticket at check-in may result in refusal of entry and account action.
• Events are run by their organizers (clubs and institutes). Schedules, venues, eligibility, and refunds are the organizer’s responsibility; we provide the platform.

Payments are processed by RBI-regulated gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree). We never store your card, UPI, or banking credentials. Ticket prices are set by organizers, and refunds for cancelled or changed events are issued under the organizer’s policy — we’ll assist in disputes but are not the merchant of record for organizer-run events. If a payment is debited but your registration fails to confirm, contact us and we’ll trace it with the gateway.

Certificates issued through ScrollConnect, including blockchain-anchored credentials, attest that an organizer recorded your participation or achievement. They are issued by the organizer; we provide the verification infrastructure. Tampering with or misrepresenting certificates is prohibited.

You own what you post — blogs, event listings, club pages, images. By posting, you give ScrollConnect a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content on the platform so the service can work. You’re responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for keeping it lawful.

• Impersonating another person, club, or institute, or faking academic identity.
• Harassment, hate speech, or content that endangers other students.
• Scalping tickets, fraudulent registrations, or manipulating event check-ins.
• Scraping user data, spamming, or attempting to break authentication, rate limits, or payment verification.
• Posting content you don’t have rights to.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Club managers and event organizers get access to participant data (names, contact details, registration answers, required documents) solely to run their events. Using it for anything else — marketing lists, resale, or sharing outside the organizing team — is a breach of these terms.

We work hard to keep ScrollConnect fast and available, but the service is provided “as is” — we can’t guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we’re not liable for the conduct of events, organizers, or attendees. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

You can delete your account at any time from settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by nature survive (content licences, liability limits, disputes) survive termination.

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions: hello@scrollconnect.com.
